Kindergarten Noon Yellow Bus Service

Edmonton Public Schools provides some Kindergarten noon (AM or PM) busing based on available resources and demand for services. Generally, Kindergarten noon busing is provided in neighbourhoods without a community school.

Eligibility

To be eligible for Kindergarten noon yellow bus service a student must:

  • attend the regular program at the designated school
  • live outside of the walk boundary
  • live within the bus service area.

Bus Routes and Stop Locations

Bus stop locations will be at the nearest accessible curb or corner to the student’s home with consideration for safety and limitations to access (i.e., any obstacles that would impede the safe operation of the bus).

If there is more than one student requiring bus service within 400 meters, service is designated to the nearest possible intersection.

Regular Program Yellow Bus

Regular program yellow bus service may be available for elementary students attending their primary designated school

Eligibility

To be eligible for regular program yellow bus service a student must:

  • attend the regular program at their designated school
  • live outside of the walk boundary
  • live within the bus service area
  • be in K - Grade 6 (or K - 12 in areas where ETS service does not meet standards).

Bus Routes and Stop Locations

Yellow bus routes serving students in the regular program are called fixed routes. Students on fixed bus routes walk a short distance (usually less than 400 metres) from home to a nearby ETS stop or intersection.
